This one was a very long time coming. A mouse that I've wanted to try since I was a kid, and now I've finally got my hands on one. This is the Razer Boomslang 2007 - a collector focused revival of what is widely regarded as the first purpose-built gaming mouse. Does it live up to the legacy?

A little over a year ago I made a post covering my prized vintage MCS 3275 receiver. Like all pieces of unrestored vintage gear it had its fair share of little annoyances, but nothing that seriously impacted my ability to use the thing - until now. Now those annoyances have become persistent problems, so I did what I always do and resolved it in the most headache-inducing way possible.

It's been a hell of a past month and things have finally settled down enough with the move for me to catch up on the sizable backlog of posts I've accumulated. So here's one of them. I mentioned in my last post about the 6,1 Mac Pro that I was going to be travelling with it - and I did. I spent two months with the machine trying to get it to do things it was never meant for. It went about as well as you'd expect.

"Help me, or I'll steal your Greenies." Just a short plug for something I feel very strongly about - consumer protection. We live in a increasingly consumer hostile age where it feels like us consumers have less and less control over the products we buy and the services we use. Apart from the rare content creator that isn't shilling for VPNs or pube trimmers, where do you turn to when you just want straightforward information about whether or not a company - no matter how niche - is going to screw you by opting into their terms of service?

Yep, it happened to me too. 

Today, thousands of subreddits went dark in protest of controversial changes to Reddit's API that puts numerous popular third-party apps out of commission, many of which have proven vital for the site's many communities to function. Here's my two cents.

After contemplating the purchase for ages, I decided to pull the trigger on my first 3D printer. It was beginning of a lifetime of enjoyment... or it should've been. Instead of buying a brand-new Ender-3 like everyone else did, I decided to buy my printer used, from eBay. What ended up arriving at my door was nothing short of a complete disaster.
