Mr. Clinton Needs You! - Louis Rossman's Consumer Action Taskforce Wiki

Just a short plug for something I feel very strongly about - consumer protection. We live in a increasingly consumer hostile age where it feels like us consumers have less and less control over the products we buy and the services we use. Apart from the rare content creator that isn't shilling for VPNs or pube trimmers, where do you turn to when you just want straightforward information about whether or not a company - no matter how niche - is going to screw you by opting into their terms of service?
Thankfully, the internet's favorite cat loving ex-New Yorker, and Apple's worst nightmare Louis Rossmann has made something for just that very task: the Consumer Action Taskforce wiki. The goal of this wiki is to create a repository of information where people can about learn about anti-consumer business practices, and how it might harm them as a user of a certain company's products or services. There are even guides on how to work around nonsense restrictions within products imposed upon users by companies.
I've already written or helped write a few articles on the wiki: namely for MakerBot, fear of missing out, and greenwashing. I hope to do some more in the future and if you're even somewhat interested in consumer protection, I encourage you to contribute as well - or at the very least check it out and tell your friends.
Don't accept the premise of assholes. Let's take back ownership of our stuff, together.
